Jack Gillespie, LCAS, LCSW-A, CCS-I Clinical Consultant

I approach the care and growth of clients and their families with curiosity, compassion, and a holistic perspective. I believe in co-creating therapeutic experiences that foster self-examination, personal discovery, and acceptance. My goal is to support clients and their families in establishing healthier patterns of behavior, helping them give themselves the care and attention they need. I draw from a variety of approaches, including person-centered, experiential, attachment-based, and trauma-focused modalities such as Brainspotting, alongside 12-step–based recovery frameworks.

I am a dedicated professional with extensive experience in addiction and mental health treatment. I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and am a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS), Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSW-A), and Certified Clinical Supervisor Intern (CCS-I). Additionally, I am an IIN Health Coach Practitioner and a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), reflecting my commitment to whole-person care.

Originally from Rye, New York, I have called Wilmington, North Carolina home since 2017. Outside of my professional work, I am an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys surfing, freediving, fly fishing, and spending time with my wife, Kate, and our two dogs, Rye and Hendrix.

“I am beyond excited about the opportunity to work with the team at Cobalt. I deeply admire both Amanda and Ricky, and I’m grateful for the chance to continue learning from and working alongside them. Our nearly decade-long relationship coming full circle makes this move even more special to me.

I once asked Ricky why he chose the name Cobalt, and his thoughtful, meaningful response made it an easy decision about who I want to surround myself with. Cobalt represents reliability, resilience, and strength—three qualities I strive to embody and bring to the individuals and families I have the privilege of working with.”
